My route was Baaaa'd

12 mins into a gentle 5:30AM run, yep, just thought I would drop that in, and my way was completely barred by one of the biggest flocks of sheep I have ever seen. Wall to wall, or should I say, soggy moor to soggy moor would-be wooly jumpers filling the track and with little intention of moving. Eventually, they trotted off into the bracken, but not before I had ample time to admire their handiwork at 'decorating' the path ahead! Such fun...

Must be lovely to run on the moors. I run early but not that early yet!

Can’t even hurdle them when they’re tightly flocked 🤣 kind of a nice frustration to have on a run though... hope the shoes didn’t get too much of the decoration.

Hadn't thought of hurdling them, but crowd [or flock] surfing may have worked! Aye, not a bad problem to have, and my shoes always were too bright! It's just as well that my dog wasn't with me as she would have either turned-tail and run away [she's scared of sheep!] or she would have hoovered up some of the decoration!!

My dogs would have had you on an impromptu sprint interval, the female will chase any sheep she sees from 100 yards or more... her brother then joins in. Not sure what she would do if she caught one, she is tiny.

Be careful with that one! Izzie would turn-heel and run away, normally hiding behind my wife's legs if she is there!

She’s really good around horses, which is fortunate as we encounter them on all the runs she does. Due to her size she isn’t really capable of more than a short run so doesn’t ever meet the sheep unless we are walking... then I get an extra run 🤣
