I finished! Thank you so much to everyone for all the support. I don’t post often but I read all the time and usually don’t need to post as you have answered my questions.
I’ve really enjoyed (most of) these runs and will make the effort to maintain the good habits.
Hope everyone else is enjoying it too!

It’s not wrong. The whole point of c25k is to feel better. Healthier, stronger, fitter, happier, more positive. If it works, we celebrate, we don’t criticise you!
I hope running keeps on making you feel proud of yourself and happy with yourself. It has done for me.
You have so many different directions you can take your running in now. Clubs are reopening so you could join a group. The weather is getting nice so you could try trail running. You will be welcome at the Bridge to 10k forum here where people support each other with longer runs. The world is your 🦪
Clubs have all sorts of different styles. Mine has a beginners group which does a version of c25k, a beginnersplus group for recent graduates, a sprint intervals group which is suitable for everyone because the coach sets everyone a personal handicap (I had the best handicap last time I went because I was the slowest, it meant I won two of the eight laps ☺️) and a 5k evening where you can choose whether to run with the 25min group, the 30min group or the 40min group. There’s another in the town for people with muscles on their muscles and expensive gear who do serious races and have national rankings.
It’s worth googling “running club [your town/village and the next nearest]” and having a look at the websites. You’ll get an idea of the flavour of the local clubs.

Haha, thank you! I would LOVE a celebratory glass of wine but I have gone 24hours without a vertigo attack and don’t want to tempt fate! A big mug of Earl Grey will have to do!
Oooooh, did you say cake? Yum! Enjoy. Parkrun will be restarting soon. A good excuse for breakfast with running buddies. You just have to run 5km first...

Thank you, that feels great, “fellow runner!”.Thanks for all your really informative posts too - you’re the reason I don’t need to post much as you’ve already covered it all!
I’ve got an app called WithU (free for a year on Vodafone) so I’m going to try a few programs there running, strength and maybe some yoga. I’ll be happy to keep running regularly and not slip back to my old lazy ways. It’s so nice to be able to run and not feel breathless. Eventually I’d love to be able to speed up. At the minute I consistently do 5.2km on the 30 min run with the two 5 min walks included. So my target is a 35minute 5km. It might take me years to get there but I know I should be able to and will build up to it sensibly to stay injury free hopefully.
Congratulations, it is a great feeling so enjoy it without a second thought. In today's times good news and lifted spirits are in short supply so revel in it!Earl Grey is nice, but a good compromise could be Bucks Fizz, not so boozy and can be drunk at breakfast or tea time - just a thought 😉
