Just started back after a year off due to an old injury, just finished week 5 & started week 6 today. Was dreading it but it went well. Quick question about heart rate most runs it ranges between 122-182 this includes my brisk warm up walk & cool down walk. My pace is really slow. My resting heart is nor:ally between 78/82.

Think figures depends on age. I have panicked about my heartrate constantly... Too high... Too low... I'm 57 and my resting heart rate is 51 (always been fairly low but lower since c25k). I don't really know what my max is but don't think it's the standard 220 less age and I average about 150-155 over 5k. As I get fitter my exercising heart rate is definitely staying lower for longer.

Not to long by the time I’ve done the five minute last walk I’m more or less back to normal.

Be very wary about the heart rates given by commercial gadgets. I’m the same age as you; if there was any concern about your heart rate, your medical centre would have advised you at one of your ‘MOTs’.
