So I left the house - with Ollie - for a walk and half way up the hill I put Jo on and suddenly we were off!
I started at the top of the first hill rather than half way up and did the slowest ever 20min jog - Seriously there were snails passing me at top speed hahahahaha. - but the feeling when Jo said “and you’re done” was brilliant.
I am a terrible Procrastinator and had already decided to put this run off another day - so maybe because this was unplanned, I wasn’t stressed about it and just went with what felt fine and very slow felt very fine!!!
Totally chuffed with myself now 🎉🎉🎉.
Happy running everyone.

Thank you so much for this! It’s so true that the positivity in this forum is what has helped me to overcome gremlins so many times. I love the analogy about John Landy and removing the mental block allows us to achieve targets that appear inaccessible.
Thank you so much Lottie. Love all the emojis hahahahaha. Truthfully i was thinking about how I would feel if I gave up half way through and all the amazing support here kept me going!!! 🐌🐌🐌🐌😂😂😂
Fantastic! Well done 😀 And spontaneous running with no chance to talk yourself out of it, combined with not starting on an uphill sounds like an excellent way of doing it!
It was definitely a slow crawl but I felt good and once I had started it was just a case of keeping my feet moving. I can’t wait to hear how your next run goes. I hope you are keeping well 💗💗
