Honestly just finished W1R3 and my feet and knees kill. Let alone the breathing while running.
I have asthma and have found the minute I get home I need my inhaler for a good 10 minutes does it get easier?

Don't panic it gets easier 👍,
Have a read of the attached plan, the link is below. It's all about Couch to 5 k, it's got great advice on stretching before and after running, advice on hydration and lots more...

Good luck
Yea it does get easier. Would it be better to use your inhaler before you go so your airways are opened up! We all find the end of week one the worst. And don’t look ahead at the runs it will put you off but believe me you will surprise yourself. If your finding it tough you may not be doing the extremely important warm ups and even more important stretches afterwards Don’t eat before you got out but do drink about an hour before You can take a banana for energy. After stretches jump-in a hot radix muscle soak bath (not a shower) and feel those aches and pains just melt away x good luck xx
I use my inhaler just before I went out last night and it didn't make a difference, I just feel like giving up as for the next day I'm so wheezy x
Ah don’t give up pet. I’ve not been out since last September and I had two runs to complete. You inspired me to start again this morning and I nearly croaked haha. I was wheezing so I lost my fitness in six months but I still did it and mostly walked but five miles not 3 km today. I’m coughing terrible as a result but I’m not giving up. Stay with us but very slow and go every three or four days
Knees hurting is standard. It doesn’t last. Try some ibuprofen. Asthma will improve but try taking an inhaler before running. Breathing sorts itself out when you get to 5-8 minute intervals of running. Stick with it. The body improves quickly!
It does get easier - and I say that as somebody who had a lot of leg and knee pains earlier in the programme. But be aware of the difference between aches and something more serious, and don't run through the latter. I've ended up having lots of extra days between runs (it has been quite rare for me to run every other day) because my body has needed it, and at times I've had to have a whole week off. But although my progress is slow, I am making progress - I ran for 25 mins yesterday which once would have seemed impossible. Have a look at the link you were given above and complete some of the exercises, which will help you strengthen and also keep you motivated if you need to take extra rest days. But above all, enjoy it!
Yes it does get easier but it does take a while so hang on in there. Have enough rest days between runs to recover and listen to your body. It may take you longer but you’ll get there
