Hi guys I’ve currently finished week 1 of couch to 5k and my ankles are really swollen and sore so I’ve had a few days off and brought an ankle support for future running ,any advice to stop ankle pain or will my ankles get used to running ?

It's unusual to have ankle problems in the first week. Are you trying to run instead of doing a gentle jog?

Yeah I think I’ve been going too fast will try to slow it down on further runs

You have decent footwear?

What kind of terrain are you running on? Off-road is better for protecting the shins, but I've found it to really make the stabilising muscles around my ankles ache in a way that the road runs didn't.
