Having been lurking on here for a few weeks, I thought I’d stick my head above the parapet and say hi!
I’m 41 with 3 young children, and am definitely not a natural born runner! I started C25k just after Christmas - this forum has been enormously helpful in keeping me motivated, so thank you.
Simultaneously dreading and looking forward to this afternoon’s run - I’ll report back!

Ooh that will be me on Sunday (or Monday if it’s snowy 😳). Let us know how you got on as after today’s 8 minute sections I’m wondering about the big leap for run 3!! I’d say good luck but I think you’ve probably already run?!
Thank you - it was great! (And never in a million years did I think I would ever write that...) Everyone said take it slow and steady to begin with and they were absolutely right. The first 5 minutes were the worst (but then they always are for me) - but after that it was surprisingly ok.
Good luck to you KVG79 on running run 3 of week 5, take that run slow and steady, once you have completed it you will be very proud of yourself, if you wish, report back here on how it went 👍🏃🏾
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, glad you enjoyed it, be careful about run 1 and 2 of week 6, it's back to running and walking with intervals, take it especially slowly, that way you should be OK.
That’s exactly how I feel. W5 R3 tomorrow 😊 deep down I know I’ve got this, but I just don’t know what’s it’s like to run for more than 10 mins straight! Excited!! Do let us know how you get on! 😀
You’ll be great! It was much easier than I thought it would be - I’d read other people saying ‘trust the programme’, and it really is true. Starting slowly and some great music really helps. The feeling of accomplishment at the end is huge!
