Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Hi there Isis, welcome ! I’m a newbie here too and today I ran Run 2 of Week 2, so we must be around the same stage. You will get heaps of advice and help here. 🙂

The recurring advice is: you're probably trying to run too fast. Slow is good.
You should be aiming for an easy slow jog, not a 100m dash.
This version of Couch to 5K is actually misnamed. You're doing a time based version. The target is not to reach 5km but to be able to run for a full 30 minutes (at any speed) by the end.

My advice is socks... Good socks.. I wear 1000mile ankle / trainer socks - they are double layer, so really help to avoid blisters and keep those feet looking good.🧦🧦🧦
