I am on week 2, feeling really positive. I do run very early hours because I felt a bit worried people would say something to me. Although I am sure my xxxl luminouse running jacket can be seen from the moon ! Safety first ! I have had such mixed responses from my running, luckily I keep thinking of the positives, the girls at work, the lovely young lad who found me two pairs of men's 6.5 running shoes ( my round feet are not lady like) and the dog walker who thought I was really brave and admired me!! Run tomorrow and start week 3 on Christmas Day !

Well done. You got the hardest part over with. It doesn't matter about anyone else or what they think. This is for you and about you. This is YOU time. Make sure you get your runs in come what may
Stick with Laura and this programme and you won't ever regret it. It's truly life-changing. There are some inspirational peeps on here, all of whom started with C25k and are now running their legs off and loving every minute of it. Folks of all ages, shapes and sizes. All finding inner strength and reserves they never thought possible.
You can too! One run at a time. Tick it off and line up the next, knocking them down like skittles.
Don't worry about what folks think. No-one actually notices you know. You just think they do
Thank you. I am buzzing since I started this. I just want to run....oh I am doing !!!
Good for you. Stick with the positives and stick with the programme and amazing things will happen. There is absolutely nothing to say that only slender people can run, we all can, regardless of shape or size, if we want to. Don't let anything stop you because this actually can be FUN and GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH !
Well done. Great start and on to week 2. A word of warning though this programme will change your life. Just read some of the posts and see how mad we all are. Take it easy and slowly to start and you will graduate in no time.
Good luck and keep posting on here to let us know how you are doing
Well done on getting out there. Loving the luminous jacket - need those in the dark! I love running in darkness as I too was not keen on what others might think but once I'm out there running I actually find I don't care cause I feel great & can't hear them over my gasps for breath
That was hard. Wind was like running against a wall. I was being followed so put on an extra push and knackered myself for the rest of the run. Very disheartened. Stranger in full running gear slowed up and made me run between lampposts and gave me a pep talk. Said I had good recovery and a natural gait!! So my wind down walk was a little lighter.
Well fancy that! I never got a stranger talking me through intervals. So there you are you see. Positives right there! Natural gait and good recovery. I bet that made you feel better
When it's windy it's very difficult to run. It's the same for everyone. Just keep going very slowly. Slow is the name of the game. The idea is to finish the run. Don't bother about who is behind you. Just keep plodding on so you finish strong. This is not a race!
You're doing great. Come on Sugarpink!!!!!!!!!!!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
