Ok. Do I need waterproof running shoes? Lots of different advice around hot feet but I am not sure running 5K in wet feet is gokd. On saying thatI often go 2 hours in wet walking boots!

You would need to ask about waterproof running shoes and waterproof socks at a specialist sports shop, although what I have heard about them is that you will sweat a lot wearing them.

Wet feet, there’s a higher risk of blisters.

Having said that, I had a run in week 8, was setting my Strava and not looking where I was walking and stepped in a pothole full of water. I cursed it but the run went okay.

Also my shoes get very wet on trails through long grass after rain, but again no foot problems. I guess it depends on how our feet cope.

I’d probably put the money towards watertight walking boots! 😁

Its misjudging the depth of the water or mud thats the problem. Not the boots. LOL

Anything that stops water getting in also stops water getting out after you step in a puddle.

Skin is waterproof........

I don't worry, just dry my shoes after 😂

No to waterproof. They let the water in but not out. Embrace wet feet. I have bought waterproof socks but I’ve never used them yet. Had them well over a year 🤣 I’ll probably never use them.
