Wk5 R3 complete 🎊

Wasn’t sure how I’d manage this run. I mental couldn’t get into my head how I would keep going for 20 minutes, I put it off a day past my scheduled run as I was worried I wouldn’t complete it. But today I was determined to get out and do it and I did. Certainly wouldn’t win any races but I did the full 20 minutes without stopping and boy am I chuffed with myself 😁. I started C25K back in June but ended up hurting my knee at the end of week 2, resting up longer than intended. I picked up the mantle again in September with better footwear and insoles I started the course again and I haven’t looked back. I’m overwhelmed I’ve come so far, back in June running a minute felt like a marathon. Whilst this run was challenging towards the end I didn’t stop, this will hopefully set me up for the runs to come.

Well done! This is a pivotal run. You're just over half way through. You've done your first long run.

Week 6 will stretch you further, which might come as a surprise.

Enjoy the grins and the bragging rights that the 20 minute run gives you.

Ah thank you, I’m still buzzing. I never thought I’d enjoying running so much, it something I never really wanted to do. But now I wonder why I waited so long.

Great resolve shammy49

Woo! Congratulations on completing this run Shammy 🥳 I think many of us find this one a big mental challenge but once you’ve done it you start to think less about how long the running sections are because you know you can do them! 🙌🏼

You'll soon get used to runs, without a walking break, it's mad really, how far we've all come, like you, i too wish i'd tried running ages ago, as really enjoying it, even with achy knees! 😂

Good luck with week 6 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

It’s mad to think how out of breath I was after the minute run a few weeks ago and now running a solid 20 minutes is mind blowing. 😁

Congratulations to you shammy49 on running non stop for 20 minutes, run 3 of week 5, you should be very proud of yourself, that is a milestone run with C25K.

Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

Yes I can get that, I’m surprised to see we are back to the smaller intervals again for W6R1. I’ll probably struggle with that tonight 😂.
