Just done W4R1. Found first 5 minute run hard. Pushed on and pleased with outcome 😊

The first few runs are almost always hard - your body is coping with the sudden increase in speed, the need to push more oxygen round your body, and it takes a while to catch up. Never judge your run on the basis of the first 10 minutes. In many ways it gets easier when you get to the longer continuous runs because you get a chance to find your comfy rhythm. You can always reduce the effect of the 'toxic ten' (as it's known) by taking the first 5 to 10 minutes a little more slowly than the rest of your run.
