After graduating from C25K on Friday I made a point to get a consolidation run under my belt today.
In place of Laura I tried using Strava to alert me for every 1/2 mile, which was different as it told me my pace also and actually encouraged me to go a little bit faster in my middle section where I often pull back. End result (admittedly not by much) I ran my furthest, longest and average fastest time ever!
31.26 min, 2.83 miles, 11.06/mile
Still not reached that elusive 5 Km but feeling pleased 😀

If you have a competitive (with yourself) nature it is good. Knowing every 1/2 mile your average speed over that half mile is very motivational (I found). I was worried I would miss the five minute warning from Laura, but actually as I usually run ~ 2.5 miles in half an hour, every half mile is about every 6 minutes - so it’s not that different.
And it’s free 😃
It just lacks the motivational pep talks and advise about eating a banana afterwards 🤣
