After promising myself not to leave it too long before runs I was enthusiastic to get out today
I was determined to try and reach 5k, or run as far as I could comfortably manage.
So I set of around the park full of energy, started slow so I wouldnβt use too much energy up. Usual niggles for 10 mins or so then I settled into my pace. Got to the park gates about 35 mins in and went to look at Strava to see how far I had run, to my horror I didnβt record the run π’π’π’. So I though sod it and walked back to my car.
I wonβt forget this run in a hurry ! Well at least I did 35 mins which is 5 mins more than normal π

Thanks Mezzie... just so annoyed with myself. My husband came out too but walked as he has a bad knee, plus he forgot to put on his Garmin π€¦π»ββοΈ so no help either lol.
This experience is, unfortunately, one common to many of us! Only last Saturday I was on track for a 5km PB myself (judging by where I was in my playlistπ) only to finish, look at my not-so-smartwatch and realise that it had cancelled recording at some point after the 4km mark. In my case I just took this on the chin with a promise of a 2nd crack at it this morning.
The bigger thing is that we both got out for a good run ππ.
