So it’s my birthday today and I wanted to go for a run. My thinking was this - let me do something that I couldn’t have/wouldn’t have done (or been able to do!) this time last year.
Started off very slow (lace issues) and then started the whole “can I/ can’t I” internal dialogue until about 10 minutes in when I decided “yes I flipping well CAN!” and I did 5k.
I am getting slower though - am I the only one? I tell my self that it’s better to be slow and steady but it is a bit disheartening to be slower today that I was a week or so ago 😂😂😂 I have the odd really good run where I can see that my pace is ‘better’ but then along comes a day like today and I am snail-like again. Oh well - it’s my birthday and I will just take being able to jog for 5k as a little gift that I have given myself by completing this miraculous program.
Happy Monday
