Well it just shows you what a difference a few weeks make
Went out this morning for a run. Unusual in itself as I normally run on a Sunday. I decided to try the steppingstones podcast. Just couldnt cope with it. The pace was too slow ( i know i know )the warm up walk was slower than my normal walk i quit the podcast🙁
Undeterred I started my running music and ran along cutthroat dene and back which I havnt done since 9th August.
Completed the run in 23 mins at a pace of 8.37😁😁😁last time i did it it was at a pace of 10.27. Just shows you the difference this program and running miles make. Still slow tho
Think I will revisit some other runs just to make sure it isnt a fluke🤣
Still unsure how long to consolidate for or whether to follow ju ju s magic plan or anything else for that matter.
But I do know I have this running bug🤣xxx

Good run for you Smile23, it's not often that a runner can't cope with the pace because it's too SLOW, ha, anyway you can try the Stepping stones podcasts with Laura some time in the future.
My plan was originally not to extend too much for the first two to three weeks, then gradually crank it up by 5-10% per week, possibly joining the October Magic Plan. (Unfortunately I'm on enforced rest for at least another week.)
Sorry you are on the ic atm. Thinking to consolidate for September. Do the virtual race for life 5k then October s magic plan. Probably for distance because i can almost run for 50 mins now(5k)🤣🤣🤣
For consolidation I'd suggest slight variations: do some at your fast pace and some at a much slower pace. If you feel like you can do it, extend the duration of the slower ones gradually (5 mins max per week). That'll give you good training to progress on to one of the other plans.

Hopefully I'll back in action in about a week. Let's see what the physio says on Thursday evening. I'm sticking to my original plan: for two days I must be feeling absolutely normal and then I'll try walking a mile or so on it, before progressing to some very gentle running the next day. Physio suggested intervals, so probably some runs from the earlier weeks of C25K.
I'm definitely feeling less stiff this morning, but still some twinges. The bag of peas will need throwing out when I'm done. It's been thawed and frozen again so many times. 😀
I have been convinced to step over the bridge...with no pressure to push to 10k ...just improve. I had a look at the plan and did the 40mins bit this morning. There are lots of tips and hints over there. 👭👍🏻👩💻
