Which week to re-start at???

So previously got to wk 8 run1 but that I as on 31st July and I have not run since( just got harder and harder to motivate the longer I left it)

I’m going to restart tomorrow but where do I think I should go back to, right back to wk 1 or maybe wk4 or 5

Any ideas anyone???

I would just go out and see what you can do !

I had 16 days off after week 8 run 1 due to injury and then went back in with week 8 run 2 ,

Ok, you have had a little longer off but I would just go out and see what you can do , you won't really loose any fitness in the first 2 weeks and then it will be gradual,

See if you can do 20 minutes as in week 5 run 3, if you are ok continue to 25 and then if you get to 28 call it week 8 run 2 😁

As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.

After that loss of condition is gradual.

All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.

Hi,

I completed in June and tried to keep running but motivation dwindled, had not run for about 5 weeks, so went back to run 1 of week 5 yesterday, which was tough but manageable. Think I’m going to do that a couple of times more, then progress through the rest again.
