Hi all! Graduated yesterday so looking forward to getting some nice chilled 30 min consolidation runs under my belt - couldn't give a toss about my distance or personal pace; just glad I don't actually die after 30 mins! I'm a late 40 something dudette so stuck a load of my old tunes from "back in the day" onto my running playlist.... and found I was flying when the 94 drum'n'bass came on! Am really interested in the link between music and movement- so any other old rave bunnies finding they're feeling it when the old school comes on?!
Old Ravers Running?: Hi all! Graduated yesterday... - Couch to 5K
Old Ravers Running?

Oh yes! ππ My playlist has tunes of 160 beats per minute as it just matches my stride. Itβs like a cheesy wedding party list and includes Shawaddywaddy, Blondie, Kim Wilde and Gloria Gaynor. Showing my age too! It makes me laugh and I canβt resist trying to sing along with some bits, in a gaspy sort of way ππ

Many congratulations on your graduation, fellow runner.

Keep running, keep smiling.

I have to admit that this 53 year old recent graduate listens to today's dance music.
I have a few old drum n bass and dance tunes in there but not many. Think i'm just an 18 yo in this older body

Must admit I occasionally have a bit of drum n bass playing! Well done, you have the right attitude about distance - just keep running!

Just going to whisper S club 7 π€¦π»ββοΈ
I feel that the right music makes all the difference- love a bit of drumβnβbass .. struggled with my run this morning and think part of that may have been because I didnβt choose the right music π§π€£
I feel like you are in the place where every little thing has to be right - I remember I had to have the right pants on but I think I was just feeling cast at sea due to Laura not being there. It is beyond psychological - but so funny to realise how mad we all are! I have run for 40 mins, but maybe walked for 20 seconds and THOSE are the seconds at the forefront of my mind... now I do a bit of βjeffingβ here and there by choice to extend the distance. I am doing it. And so are you!! Whoop π
Iβve still had Laura on but no pants π€£ππ€£
