Burning calf left leg

Hi all, I'm wk4 r2. And I just crnt run anymore 😭. The burning pain in my left calf just won't let up. Iv tried to run through it as some people have suggested, but I seem to counter act the weight and my right knee then hurts.

Is this just a brick wall iv hit or a proper strain?

Thanks

Hi, are you doing the dynamic warm up excercises before you run and then also the static stretches after you run ?

I remember after my my very first run I had really bad aches in my thigh muscles to the point where I could barely walk the next day .

Then I found out about theses excercises ( I know , but better late than never ) and i haven't had a problem since !

Another thing maybe to consider is a calf roller ?

Good luck !

A calf roller? Do I push through the burning feeling? Thanks

I wouldn't know , nor want to suggest you push the the burning!

I wouldn't know the answer to that .

The calf roller is something I've seen suggested on here before you would need to search how to use it though

Are you following the advice in the guide to the plan on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help?

It is best not to run in pain, as stated in the guide, but rest and stretch for a few days.
