Week8r1 completed and carried on running 5.17k reached took 55mins with warm up and down walks, so pleased with myself

Well done, but please stick to the plan.

We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits, whilst gently increasing our resistance to injury.

You breached the 10% rule used by most experienced runners to increase their weekly training load and are taking the risk of coming to a total standstill for days, weeks or even months, simply by doing too much too soon.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but highly inadvisable to do as you did.
