I have just graduated and went for a gait analysis 8 days ago at my local sports shop (not Sports Direct or similar). They tell you how you run and then recommend the shoe for that type of running. I then bought a pair of running shoes to suit my gait. An absolute game changer. Instant difference.

Tried on 3 different pairs from different manufacturers and didn’t want to know the price (Running shoes are cheaper than my sons fashion trainers) as I researched what it was likely to be.

Google Gait assessment for your area. Well worth it and thoroughly recommended

Hi I am on my 3rd pair of Asics GT2000 over years I bought them based on a gait analysis and needing additional support due to over pronation and hypermobility. Have always found them really comfortable when running and at the gym. Am always running on hard surfaces so can only comment on that . I usually do a regular check online to see if I can get them at a reduced price.
