Advice on increasing pace pls

Just completed wk 8; run 3 and managed 30 mins for 4.73km. Any advice on how to up pace for last 3 runs to try to hit that 30 min/5km please

You're doing fine. Just relax. There's no need to push your pace at this stage. Just get through Week 9 and then consolidate for a month and then you can start thinking about your running goals.

There are 3 excellent supplementary C25K+ podcasts: Speed, Stamina and Stepping Stones. But they are for later.

PS. 90% of graduates do not reach 5k in 30 minutes.

Only a small proportion of graduates from this forum who responded to a poll, managed 5k in 30 minutes by graduation healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

Graduation requirements are that you complete three thirty minute runs, regardless of distance.

If I told you that to get faster you need to spend more time running slowly and only push hard on 20% of your running time, you will see that you just don't have time.

Speed will come as you get stronger and pushing hard now could lead to injury and possibly failure to graduate.

Patience builds a runner.
