Well I left my run until 730pm as it was very hot. I was a bit nervous about running late as I get up 415am every day for work. So it feels late for me. (Rock star life). I left it for a couple of hours before I had eaten. I’ve made a conscious decision to try and drink 2-3 litres of water yesterday and today and my calves were still tight even with a 10 min warm up and 5 min walk but they were definitely easier. I watched a YouTube videos on Japanese slow running and I tried to keep that form and pace and it really helped. I was so fixed on thinking my pace was so slow but now I’m glad it is. I want to concentrate on jogging for longer rather than faster. So keep going everyone. And good luck
Finished Wk4. : Well I left my run until 730pm... - Couch to 5K
Finished Wk4.

So I came on here to tell the world I had completed W4 and the first post I see is yours! Snap!
I see you already managed 5k earlier in the week. I’m not in that league at all yet. With hardened arteries from years smoking I quickly get claudication (feels like cramps) in my calves. But I surprised myself by managing the 5min runs on each day this week.
One other similarity with your post is that last week I also saw some Japanese slow running vids on YouTube. So that’s basically how I did W4! 😂
Good luck to both of us for W5, and to everyone else with your runs wherever you are in the programme

Ahhhh Japanese Slow Running is my saviour! Wouldn't have managed the programme without knowing about it!
Enjoy Week 5, by the end of it you'll be on Cloud 9!
