Almost a year ago a text from my daughter changed our lives. “We’ve just done the c25k thing and wow it was hard” what’s that I asked .... The rest as they say is history
Today I ran 5k in 46.07 minutes, and feel a great sense of achievement
A year ago we puffed and panted our way through one minute runs I sounded like a steam train and Willow limped home. Today i hardly puffed and could have carried on and on.
I love running, I love the freedom, the feeling of being in control which is especially important in this horrible time of disease and death
I wish everyone good health and very strong legs

No, they only did it once, by the time she’s walked 3 miles to work and back and taken the dog out for a long run she hasn’t got anything left for running, but it was a great thing that she told me because i can’t imagine not being able to run, and I see you are healing well so am looking forward to reading about your return to running
Great run for you today Willow and Sola, do you know something, we share the same day for our runiversary, a year for you, 2 years ago today on the 18th April 2018 I ran run 1 of week 1 of C25K, today to celebrate I ran my 5th virtual 5K parkrun. 😊 🏃🏾

What a journey you have been on. All the ups and downs and miles in the bag. All your effort in all sorts of weathers and you both kept going through it all. I hope you both feel a tremendous sense of achievement today. Sending warmest wishes and a great big virtual hug!
