Some four years ago l never thought of an impact that running could have on my life. Four years ago l didn't even think of running, let alone impacts. I enjoyed watching people run on tv, I loved sports but.....me running? Why would l do that for? What's the point?! Would l need to quit smoking and having fun so that l could run?
Fast forward almost four years later and I've just gone 'live' with my own running blog. Running has transformed my life in many ways and for some time I was toying with the idea of starting a site where new and experienced runners could stop by, read my ramblings and share opinions. It is very early days, lots of work......fun times!
More than ever I am keen to promote and encourage running for all. I know well what some simple strides in the park can do for our health and well-being.
Many of you have been a constant presence and inspiration over the years. You've encouraged me to push my limits and have fun. Things might have turned differently if l hadn't read those early posts from Oldfloss , IannodaTruffe and misswobble with so many other fellow runners - many thanks all.
You are very welcome to visit me on runmrrun.com and see what I'm up to. I will never leave Health Unlocked, l owe this place so much. On my site l will preach its deserved value and come back here to leave my usual daily sour comments. Keep well people!

You're more than welcome. Also, these are rough times and running is a great filter. I'm out there five times per week and covered around 50k just this past one. I needed every single stride. Every single one of 'em. I don't do parks in these circumstances, I was there on my own going through those empty side roads. Bliss.
Yes me too, listening to eerily relevant hippy tunes . Loads of great songs then, and the lyrics really chime with what’s going on at the moment. For What it’s Worth, Buffalo Springfield made my ears prick up
Oh I look forward to reading your blog, and shall attempt some sour comments of my own. And yep, HU is a very special place, and I am very glad to hear that even though you are now one of these new-fangled “bloggers”, you will not neglect your original home here. Congrats on your new site and thanks for sharing with us! I like your writing and stuff. 😁
Ha, thank you and it's more difficult than you might think. I thought l could go unchained but the helpful editor simply put me back to my humble place, lol. 'mrrun, please try again, I've deleted your entire post'. 😜
LOL! I am an editor by day (runner by night), and shudder at the thought of any writer who thinks they can go it alone. (It takes a village, people!) Just took a quick peek and I love the design. Great mrrun logo too! Class. Well done! Shall read the words tomorrow when am less tired. And tipsy. Lockdown has made me think tonight was Saturday! 😱
It does help if the editor is a person who's a professional website designer who's also made a living as a professional photographer. I somehow got lucky and married one. The logo is mine throughout though. 😉
Fantastic! I am looking forward to reading your new blog along with all your future running exploits. I fully agree HU is a very special place with some folk who are real gems. The blog design and photography look great too btw. You chose your editor well! 👍🏼 Best of luck my friend!
The idea has been brewing for a while. It's realisation that takes place even longer. This chain of tragic and unpredictable events here and around the world have suddenly given me loads of time, so there. Hope you like it. 'Sour'? What else.... 😜
