With running? With life right now? Either way it’s tough out there. Luckily you’re tougher than all that. We preach slow and steady here, in case you missed it 😂. You may be here for the first time... worried about that run, with worries about that other thing. You may have just started, and yes it’s hard... but you’re doing it, be proud. Maybe you’ve graduated the plan and want to go faster right now... that’s cool, but maybe running can give you so much more than that in these dark times.

I shared something that my in ear coach posted about all of this over on Bridge to 10k earlier... it was suggested that I also post here... I’ll link it below. Before I do that, I’d just like to say, celebrate the next time you cross a start line... when the run starts you’ve won. Life is stressful right now... take that stress and burn it off while you run. It doesn’t matter about the finish line. Celebrate when you cross those too of course, but if you don’t, just think what you actually did... maybe you ran 50 seconds, and that’s 100% more than last week... maybe you were running a 30 minute run, and managed 22... that’s 22 minutes of burning stress, improving your fitness, health, strength, mental well being, etc, and so it’s a WIN. Take that win back into your life.

Go easy on the run, and easy on yourself... you’ll beat this plan, and that other thing.

Here’s the link healthunlocked.com/bridgeto......

Stay safe, and happy running.

An excellent, motivating post, thanks! I particularly like the line "when the run starts, you've won". So much truth in that.

Yes, absolutely, slow and steady.

Now is the time to just get out and RUN, no need to look at your time, I am just thankful that we can still do this in the UK. :)
