I don't do running outside because it's not pretty to watch. My gasping breaths and deathly pallor alarm ordinary folk. And when I go to the gym the attendants have the paddles and oxygen ready just in case I arrest. But my Gym is closed, obviously, so at 4.30 am, I put my Asics and jogging clothes on, tuned into the Dead South band and asked Michael Johnson to ease me thru step 2 of week 5. Apart from slight cracks in the pavement, and shortness of breath, it went well. And no one witnessed the momentous event. It's all good. Keep safe everyone.

Well done.......just think of all the vitamin D you received, free of charge.
If you were gasping for breath, then you are going too fast..........read about the recommended easy conversational pace in the guide to the plan.

Listen to the advice on pace....run as slowly as you can. As for people, nobody really looks at us when we are running...it is as if we are invisible. There was one occasion early in C25k when a lady stood in the middle of a country road and clapped.. I looked at her quizzically..and she said, “I am applauding you, really well done.” Enjoy the freedom of running outside 😊
