Any suggestions peeps , please. I'm on week 3 , run 3 tomorrow, but I've developed piles, which I've not had for 10 years. I have healthy diet, so not constipated, is it the extra excercise? I do not want to give up my running, so does anyone have any suggestions what to do?

Anusol ointment - but likely to be e few days before you’ll feel comfortable enough to run again
It’s often associated with stress , not always diet . I would be fine during the day then have to go to work and within 2 hours of being in work I could hardly move - nowt to do with diet ( I ve since left job 👍 and “things” are now good 😊)Saying that , more water might help ? Suppositories work better than the stuff in the tube . Also inserting an ice cube can reduce the swelling quite effectively on a REALLY bad evening . I know that sounds very odd but believe me when you re desperate you try desperate measures . ( and it helped ) Sitting in a very salty bath for as long as you can - take a book / phone / I pad - keep topping up the hot water 🛁. I wish you luck ☘️
Thanks for the advice, I got the cream, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. ... seems an odd quandary, bum v run.... I don't want to give up now
Regular pelvic floor exercises should help, but it takes a couple of months, so not a quick fix.
I'm struggling, I so want to do my run today, but am I making things worse? I have done core classes at the gym, but it was while doing a class that the problem started, so just concentrated at the running.
Anusol has worked for me, but it takes a couple of days. The thing that really works for me with blockages in that area and piles is drinking loads of water right through the day, whether trying to run or not. Good luck and I hope you manage to sort things out cos being constipated is horrible.
