Getting back after a cold

Hi, I was about to start week 3 and came down with a cold. I’ve tried running this week but only managed about 15 minutes each time. I can do the week 3 intervals but start coughing after about 15 minutes so walk home. Should I just repeat week 3 next week or go back to week 2? Cheers

As the guide to the plan states healthunlocked.com/couchto5... if you miss some runs through illness, then all any of us can do is to recover fully, then go out and see what you can comfortably manage, which will show you whether you need to step back or pick up where you left off.

If you have only missed a couple of weeks then you are very unlikely to have lost much in the way of condition and can normally pick up where you left off, if fully recovered.

It doesn’t sound like you are fuller recovered yet, you don’t want that infection digging in further and lasting longer. I’ve seen people put themselves way back through restarting too soon. Take care and listen to your body the run will still be there.
