I am running 5k or around 30 minutes. Do I need to move upto 10k? Is it ok to just run further as and when I feel like it.

You do whatever you wish too..short routes..30 minute routes..the odd 1K?

Then some new routes...and lovely long see where you get to routes. This is your adventure...but if you fancy moving on..then take a peek at the What Next post x

If you read the guide to post C25K running healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you will find mention of the 10% rule, which is the recommended way to increase your training load to avoid doing too much too soon.

You certainly don't have to run 10k if you don't want to, but if you do, then use the 10% rule to build duration/distance gradually, otherwise you increase your injury risk.
