Friday's long run

After 3 days away for work, including a 30 minute run on my birthday (Wednesday) and 2 sets of swimming on Tuesday and Thursday, I had a lovely 45 minute run this morning at my new slow pace 0.5kph faster than my old slow pace.

I was a little bunged up this morning, the first 20 minutes were a little harder than usual but it was may ankles/calves and not being bunged up causing this.

Even after the 45 minutes, I could have and felt like I should have continued but I kept to 45 minutes. Even with the higher pace and increased pace my average heart rate was 138bpm, this running lark is really doing wonders for my cardiovascular health, when I restarted C25K in May I never thought I would run for an hour but to be doing 45-60 minutes without my heart rate being stupidly high wasn't even thought possible, when I was doing week 1 runs I was hitting 174bpm and an average of 143 for 8x 1 minute runs (slow jogs really).

Happy running everyone.

I've never had anyone in awe of me, especially around anything sport related, I don't know what to say, except thanks.

I post my runs on here as it helps keep a journal of my progress, if it helps anyone else then I'm humbled and happy it helps them.
