Running up a hill....

Just completed w6r3 and when I measured the run I only did 3.5km. However hoping that I am so slow as the elevation was 165ft - is this ok? Or do I need to repeat the week? I run over fields and live on the side of a hill so going will always be a bit slower... any comments appreciated

Hi and well done! There's no need to repeat a week unless you can't complete the runs. C25K is a bit misleading, it's more about running for duration, not distance. You really don't need to worry about how far you travel at this point. Happy running!

Thank you for the advice, I feel much more confident reading your post, and so I will just carry on..... I will never be fast but just running is fine (in fact I am slightly incredulous at doing it at all!)

You're doing really well! Slow is the best way too, there's a lot of us that are slow so you're in great company 😁 and to be honest, you're not all that slow, you're covering a great distance.

3.5km in 25 minutes is brilliant! You're going at a cracking pace. But don't worry about the distances at all, it's really just about building up to 30 minutes of solid running. Slow and steady is a good way to avoid injury.

Gosh thanks for the kind words, you are so right, in the big scheme of c25k 3.5km in 25 mins is brilliant for me. At the beginning of the year I couldn’t walk up the stairs without being out of breath... so yay for me!
