Started c25k today and having never run since I was a kid it killed me but I completed the first session and feel good for starting.

I know this is a stupid question but is it best to take a drink with you or not and wait till you have finished?

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and should answer most of your questions.

If it is tough, you are going too fast.

Enjoy your journey

Welcome along ! Everyone pushes too hard on 1:1 - next time out, go slow and steady, and you’ll soon find your own rhythm. Taking water or not is an individual thing. A lot of people reckon that as long as you’re generally well hydrated, you won’t need to take water for these runs. Personally, I always take a small bottle with me, because I find a mouthful or two now and again helps my breathing. So why not take some with you for the first few runs, and if you find you’re not drinking it, then leave it behind ? Have fun out there x
