I’m about to do wk 3 run 2 after talking myself out of it for the last couple of days due to bad weather. I run around our field at home, so it’s quite muddy. Haven’t yet dared venture out in public! Wish I’d kept up my gym membership now so I could use the treadmill on wet days.In run 1 I Found it hard to keep going on the last 3 minute run, but was so pleased with myself when I’d done it . Main issue is aching legs/ knees/ankles ! My husband started off doing the programme with me but has had to stop due to problem with his calf and knee, I’m finding it quite hard to keep going by myself but am determined to stick at it. Aim is to do a park run with my 3 sons .
To motivate myself I went for gait analysis and am about to proudly wear my new Brooks shoes for the first time today!
I look on the forum regularly and find it really helpful with loads of supportive comments. Keep going everyone. Every one of us has a different story and reason for doing this, it’s very inspirational to hear of so many successes.

I’ve just finished Week 3, Run 2 too! I did Run 1 this week on a flat route and felt really good afterwards (so pleased because I was dreading it!). This morning my route had a couple of inclines in it so it was harder, but I’m so proud of myself that I didn’t stop and kept going!
Hi Yellowfox. I didn’t want folk to know I had started running so I dressed for a walk. Trousers,a fleece, gloves and a woolly hat too. It was February. Then break into a jog for a while, and walk. It works. Who is to know? Now w8, I have running shoes and a neon red running jacket too. I think they know now! Have fun
