I did the first week of consolidation last week, after graduating the week before. It's shattering! 3 x 30 min runs in a week, I had to have two naps!
I gather, from someone who knows more about this stuff than I do, that this is normal & your body's just getting used to the new regime. I don't think my body's going to accept it without a bit of a struggle but I'm carrying on regardless.
How did other people find the first few weeks after graduation?

Well done..but you really don't need to do 3x30 min runs each week.
Consolidation is just that...consolidating what C25K has begun but...vary your runs...a short..a bit longer...and a lovely even longer run..change your routes too. Pop 30 minute runs in there sometimes as well...but ring the changes...and remember..it is the lovely long slow runs that build up our stamina and our strength...
My normal pattern would be..a short..3K say..a 6 or 7K...and then a, see where I get to, on my long run day, where I would run for over an hour or so......but...I have been running for three years so my run distances would be different than yours..🙃
Check out the What's Next post too for great ideas .😉
Thanks for this, I did think I had to maintain the 30 mins and it's good to know I can back up a bit. I'm doing shorter runs x 2 this week then a longer one and maintaining that for a couple of weeks and then increasing. Ran this morning and it already feels better.
I’m on my second week and have to say I’m loving it! I know I’m improving with every run, I can feel it and that’s spurring me on! Someone at work said to me the other day, you’ve got so much energy, what a compliment! I’m running every other day, I can feel it in my legs for sure, the stairs at work kill me every morning but while I can keep this up I will 😊
