Hi everyone! I graduated a few weeks ago and can now comfortably run 5k in 33-35 minutes on the treadmill and was feeling great. I decided I want to get outside and ran today for 20 minutes / 2.8k and had to stop due to a stitch. I immediately went in the gym and managed to get another 2k out in 13 ish minutes. Anyone else had these problems making the adjustment from treadmill to road? Any recommendations on what to do? Thanks!

It’s easier to run on a treadmill than outside, and paths are easier than grass!
Options - slow right down and stick to the duration (not worrying about distance at this stage) or keep your pace and build your duration - you could go back to an earlier stage of c25k and even do a slow run for the walking part and your usual pace for the runs. But all in all running outside is much better - especially if you can run away from busy roads. But you will have another fitness boost when you can run for 30 minutes outside, abc again when you hit your 5k. So there’s the positives!!
