I was really enjoying the Couch to 5k program but in week 4 I've hit knee problems. They just don't feel right, as if they're not in the right position or something. I got diagnosed with hypermobile joints when I had my daughter but I'd put that down to hormones and assumed it was ok now. Anyone else had these problems and any suggestions for exercises or something to support my knees so I can get back into running? I don't want to do damage to my knees but I don't want to give up either!

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
You have to expect some aches in the first few weeks, but if things don't feel right, get checked out by your GP or a physio.
Most new runner's aches and pains are caused primarily by the impact of running, so do all you can to minimise it.
Slow down, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body not out in front, run on grass or treadmill and wear proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.
Stretching after every run and doing knee strengthening exercises nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/k... should help.
I had similar! I popped along to my docs on the advice of the folk on here and ended up after xrays and physio diagnosed with patella femoral pain syndrome and arthritis in my knees! Total shock! My knee caps track off wrong and head off to the outer sides of my knee joint which caused the pain/unstable feeling. I have exercises and have to tape up and follow advice before I can return to running.. go get your knees checked out by a doc/physio - I’ve saved myself weeks of frustration and further damage by doing so. Good luck! X
