Now I can confirm my previous failures at week 4 were down to pace. Just done r2 without too much drama. I’m finding the second lot of 3 minutes hard. One I find a groove in the last 5 minutes I feel like I’ve a bit more in the tank (not much more though)!

I think I might need to drop the pace more moving into week 5 especially the much anticipated w5r3 😧

After having stiff quads for a few days I’ve started on a whey protein to try to get the muscle repaired so not going out on aching legs. See how they feel tomorrow.

A few stretches might help your quads. At these distances it is more likely to be a tightness issue than a nutritional one. You are doing the right thing taking the pace down these first weeks are all about conditioning rather than pace. Happy running. Rfc x
