Slow is the correct pace for this programme - it’s all about building stamina and getting your body through the actual runs than pace or distance at this stage - speed comes much much later on your running journey

When you can run or run/walk 10-20Klms easily - then you can start to worry about increasing your pace :)

Slow is fine... the time for speed and distance comes later... relax, enjoy and get to that podium, having had fun :)

Slow running will build your legs for endurance and develop your lungs and heart better too... speed comes later if you want to chase it... you’re great.

I’m at the exactly the same stage as you, just jogging, & feel like i should be going faster, but the advice you have got on here is great, it’s about building endurance in your legs.

I couldn’t run for a minute when i started, but have just finished a 20 minute run, & feel like a world beater, the improvements I’ve made have given me so much confidence & happiness

Good luck! 😊

Today I’m doing week 9 run 2. I have also felt during the programme that I’m a little slow. However in the last couple of weeks I have noticed on my tracker that I am actually increasing in speed without having changed anything. I agree with all the advice above, just take your time and go at a speed tha allows you to finish the run without stopping. This is a brilliant programme - 9 weeks ago I couldn’t run for a minute, now I can complete 30 mins non - stop, happy days.😀

Nothing wrong with slow at all. It’s your friend and not only will it get you through the programme and beyond, you’re far less likely to pick up an injury.

Speed will come with time if you want it to. For now, go as slow as you like and enjoy your running. 👍😀
