56K would be a ultra marathon distance.

I am the same. My running pace seems as slow as my fast walk. I have just finished week 6 run 2 and I covered only 3 k. I have found I really enjoy the running regardless of distance covered. I’m sure our pace will increase in time. Good luck.

Parkrun is inhabited by elite athletes who run 5k in the bat of an eyelid, unfit walkers who want to improve their stamina and every conceivable age, shape, weight and ability in between...........you will be ahead of many and behind many others.

If you look on the site of your local parkrun you will be able to see the times recorded by all runners and walkers and gauge how you will fit in. Parkrun supports and includes all runners and walkers, so don't worry about your pace.

We recommend that you stick with your C25K programmed run, if still mid plan, so that you don't get tempted to overdo it.

Don't forget to register your club as NHS C25K.

You don't need to.. Just run for the run time in Week 8.....that is all you need to do, walk the rest:)
