First park run

Having graduated in July I finally got round to doing my first park run.....I work most Saturdays so this was my first opportunity and it was ace!! It is actually pretty much my usual running route round Hazelhead park in Aberdeen, so I was well aware that it is all uphill for the first half 😫 but then downhill on the way back which is quite nice.

I was pretty nervous at the start.....even just arriving by myself I wasn’t sure what to do but everyone was so lovely! I even met a couple of lovely girls at the start who then waited at the end, probably for a good 10 minutes, to cheer me on for the last 50m or so. And then they took time to give me lots of lovely running tips and encouragement.

Hopefully I’ll get another Saturday off soon and can go again but having done all my running alone so far it has shown me the benefits of running with others and made me think about joining a running club.

Happy Saturday everyone 😀

I did Hazlehead this Saturday past and can confirm the second half is better than the first! :) My home run is at the beach so maybe see you down there sometime?
