So.... graduated few weeks ago and only now managing 1 run per week, sometimes per fortnight! Not feeling motivated so was thinking I need a plan. Going to start week 9 of bridge to 10K as the free running plan not working great for me. Anyone else felt like this post 5k? I was so motivated and never missed a run for full 9 weeks πŸ˜³πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Good that after a bit of a break you’re missing the running. Hope you get sound advice from some of the experienced people on here and find a plan that works for you soon x

I've tried to keep to running at least every third day and I had the target of 5k to keep me motivated. I'm now doing two 30 min and one 5k ish a week. Have started park run and that's extra motivation. I'm now trying to slightly extend my longest run a little each week. New routes help, and I tend to run with my sister so we motivate each other. My husband just sprints off ahead of me! I'm way too slow for him!! πŸ‘ŸπŸ‘ŸπŸŒπŸŒπŸ˜

I think your experience is very common, which is why I suggest targets. Your short term aims should be something that you can achieve in the next week or two, not months away. That will give you the satisfaction of regular progress as you work towards medium term targets.

Once achieved, create another target for your next run and remember, it doesn't have to be performance based.

You need to build the habit so that fitting in runs comes higher your priorities.
