Week 6 down

Completed week 6 had a extra days rest after a tiring week at work. Actually found the first 5-6 mins the hardest on this one then seemed to settle into a pace had enough to up the pace on the last minute. Still quite a way off a 30 min 5k before the end.

Thinking of upping week 7 to a 26,27,28 minute run do you think this is a good idea or focus on three 25 mins and upping the pace a little?

At the risk of sounding boring, I'd say to just follow the program, because it works. You may or may not be running 5k in 30 at the end, but you will definitely be ready for a parkrun, see what your time is then and work on bringing it down. No harm in pushing for the finish at the end of each run though!

You could always try a different route perhaps with more inclines? That's what I found hard on Run 2 of Week 7, doing a run with more hills. I think the 25 mins x 3 is for a reason although we might not appreciate it until week 8?
