So just done run 2 of week 5 and I have started getting pins and needles in one foot. Could it be my trainers are too tight?
That was a tough one, had to use mental power to keep pushing through!

Slow and steady..and loosen your laces😉
Who knows?? I quite often get numb feet using different shoes and I have now been running for 5 years. Last Saturday I did a 10K race - feet went numb at around the 5K mark for about 5 minutes and the problem then went away for the rest of the day.
Well done. It could be tight shoes, hard to tell though.
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Pins and needles can be symptomatic of restricted blood supply, which can be caused by shoes being too tightly laced, or too small, not allowing enough room for feet to spread when running. Most people have running shoes at least half a size larger than their usual shoe size.
Enjoy your journey.
