Well day 1 completes. I experienced pain in both my ankles and the pain lasted after. Is this just because I’m over weight or is there any tips to reduce this pain ?

Congratulations for completing day 1 - it’s the hardest. I’m overweight ( massively), and hoping this helps shed some lbs. I recommend getting your gait analysed and investing in some good quality running shoes - it makes all the difference x

When you run you impose several times your body weight on your joints, so being overweight certainly can be a contributory factor to joint and shin pain. Also being unfit (the starting point for many) means that muscles are relatively weak. They will strengthen in time and the aches will subside.
