Firstly I'd get advice from a gp, doctor with leg injury. I started this app in April I weighed in at 107kg. Didn't have the proper running gear. So within two weeks inflamed my ligament in knee. Had to rest it ice packs pain relief gel on it. After two weeks got the all clear to start again. So I started the app from the beginning with a knee support and proper running shoe's. It took me 3 and half months to complete this app. I now weigh 88kg with the help of slimming World also I'm still running 3 times a week and running 5k in 41 minutes as it's called road running. I've started my journey running behind a hedge at a local park. Cause I was embarrassed now I don't care who watches me. The main thing is your out there learning how to jog. I wish you all the best the app does work. Get advice Firstly then go from there.
Welcome and well done so far. Assuming you have the all clear to do this then the best pace to do this is the one that suits you. Try not to look at the TM numbers and just aim for a brisk walk and a slow jog. As long as both feet are off the ground at the same time during your jogging phase then you are doing it right. Your walk needs to be brisk, so it is possible to walk faster than you jog - strange but true 😀
Well I started week two during the run time I was doing it at 7km and walking at 5.2km I felt really good after a long day working on the ship I even done a 30 mins on exercise bike
Yes thank you I am struggling now that’s why I am trying this program sometimes after a days work on the ship I just want to get into bed but I am now on week 3 day two
