Peripheral Vascular Disease.

Does anyone have experience of PVD? I was just diagnosed with an aterial blockage in my right leg and am expecting to get a stent fitted. Just wondering what the prognosis is and how long I'm going to be off my running. Thanks.

Sorry John I have no experience of PVD, I'd think only your health professional will know the answer to how long you'll be off your running, depends on your specific recovery time, but I hope it's not too long for you.

Is the blockage the cause of the pain in the calf which you posted about a while ago?

Yes Davelinks. It is. I've been having physio for a suspected strain or sprain but a scan last week revealed a blockage in the artery just above the knee so now I'm waiting to get a stent fitted and feeling very frustrated. Running is out of the question at the moment and I hate missing events I've entered for. Thanks for your good wishes.
