That's week 7 run 1 conquered! I did struggle I ritually though, with my breathing, but I'd forgotten to take my Inhaler again, duh! Having said that, I decided in the first few minutes that I'd stop when Sarah told me to or I dropped, so my lungs would have to sort themselves out... A risky strategy, but one that stood me in good stead today, when I kept plodding through the woods. Only problem was, every time I ran I to the sunlight I could it like a hammer blow, a weight across my should telling me to stop, and just walk.
I simply squinted down the path and kept putting one foot in front of the other and beating myself into shape. I saw a good phrase the other day that I keep thinking every time I don't want to go out, every time I get negative:
"Strength does not come in response to desire, but in response to need."
And when I started this programme, it was to get stronger in a certain way. Looks like it's working!
But here's a picture I took, to show you how lucky I am, with the route I get to take. This week i'll try to take a few pictures of different bits so you can all see where I go.
