Muscle pain??

Anyone have any experience with a soreness and real burning sensation in quad muscle? Completed the program and have taken a couple days off, went to my first yoga class Saturday and since Sunday I’ve had a real hot sensation in my left quad. Feel like I have fire in there! It comes and goes. Is this normal??

Hi WW, no that is certainly not normal and goes beyond the aches and pains that are common with beginners to C25K. I'm not medically qualified (and in any case it is hard to make an online diagnosis), but I think "burning sensation" would be a trigger to seek professional advice. If you can afford to see a sports physio (£50) then that would be the most effective course of action. A physio could diagnose the problem, help you recover and identify the cause of the problem in the first place.

Thanks. I’ve got in touch with a sports physio I know. I read that yoga can really mess with your muscles and I’ve had this with a severely tight calf before, and the physio was able to massage it out some.
