Things are getting tougher now and, although I have sucessfully completed all runs to date, my music isn't seeming to distract my brain from screaming "aagghhh how many minutes left!?"

Suduko on the treadmill is also not my friend any more as I've got no walking breaks to tap in the numbers and I definitely can't jog and type!?

And this tubby middle aged mummy is not ready to be seen "wobbling" in public, (let's face it, I'm so slow that I'd be done under the trades description act if I dared to say I was running, so "wobbling" feels more appropriate!) so switching to outdoors to break the monotony of the treadmill isn't a option for me...yet...

So this morning I tried a new approach and downloaded Sarah Millican "Chatterbox Live" to complement her app pep talks!

So did it distract me from the clock.....yes! But it also presented new and unexpected problems...I had uncontrollable bursts of laughter throughout and now think my fellow gym members think I'm deranged!!

Oh well, you win some and you lose some!!

Im having more success with audio books these days which I've never been a fan of, podcasts seem to be a good distraction too but I couldn't find one I liked. Concentrating on what someone is saying seems to speed it up for me. I looked at TED talks (to continue my theme of self improvement 😉) but couldn't work out how to get them as just audio files instead of videos

I am same stage with same wobbly issues but have had same playlist all way through - Calvin Harris - let's go kicks in at about 15 mins running and is a godsend - sometimes I even wobble faster !!

I'm at Week 7 too.. I've found choosing random play lists helps as I have no idea what's coming up so the surprise distracts me..I'm not using Laura at the moment but found some of her wittery interjections also distracted me..I couldn't download Sarah Millican ..maybe because I don't have an iPhone ? ,dunno..

You do sudoko on a treadmill? Am-az-ing 🤩
